An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our growing Smeaton Grange branch, working across our full range of truck brands.

About the Role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will carry out servicing, repairs and diagnostics across our range of Iveco, Fuso, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner trucks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing and repairing light, medium and heavy vehicles across our truck brands
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults efficiently and accurately
  • Accurately completing job service reports and associated paperwork
  • Working both within the workshop and offsite when required
  • Following manufacturer (OEM) technical procedures and completing OEM technical training programs
  • Maintaining safe work practices and a clean, efficient workshop environment
  • Working collaboratively with the Workshop Manager and wider service team to meet customer and production timeframes

Working Hours

Full time, Monday to Friday, with overtime and Saturdays as required.

Key Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Automotive (or equivalent)
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
  • Own tools (specialised tooling provided)
  • Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required
  • Ability to work offsite when required

Desirable:

  • Completion of OEM technical training programs
  • Previous experience working across multiple truck brands
